Tips for freebies!

So recently I posted a photo of my organized freebie box. Now I would like to offer you some tips on how to obtain freebies for yourself!

  • For the Smartphone user...
    • Store Apps:  Many stores such as CVS and Target have their own smartphone applications and give you incentives such as coupons to use them. Take advantage of these at the stores you visit the most often and learn how to stack coupons with sales for the most for your money.
    • Independent Apps: Look for (reputable) apps that offer rewards for checking in to stores or allow you to give gift cards to friends. Some examples include:
      • Wrapp: This app lets you send and receive gift cards on facebook and use them via your smartphone in stores. Some examples of gift cards they have released recently are $5 to Sephora and $10 to H&M. Additionally they sometimes offer promotions in which you get a gift card for yourself when you send 3 to friends.
      • Shopkicker: This app needs you to use the GPS positioning on your phone. You get a gift card to just for downloading the app. You check into certain stores such as Macy's and Target and collect "kicks" to receive prizes such as gift cards to Starbucks and more.
  • For the Facebook Fan...
    • Like your favorite brands!
      • Most major brands have their own facebooks and run contests and giveaways weekly. If you don't mind the extra advertising on your news feed this is a great way to be alerted to rare freebie giveaways!
  • For the frequent shopper...
    • Sign up for the card! Now I don't mean the credit card, though you can do that if you want to. Many stores offer free rewards cards which only require a full name and email to sign up. If you frequently shop at a certain store, it's always a good idea to pick up a rewards card and earn your way to even more savings and freebies.
    • Additionally, many shops have mailing lists, both email and physical, and will send you lots of good deals if you sign up!
  • For the occasional freebie ...
    • If you aren't a huge fan of freebie hunting and don't want a ton of notifications in your inbox, then check out some of these sites:
      • Hip2Save: Provides daily updates of the hottest freebies around. Very handy for those that don't want to go through the hassle of checking through a bunch of different sites themselves and want to find reputable deals.
      • The Krazy Coupon Lady: Not necessarily freebies, but they will provide you with an amazing database of coupons as well as tips on how to coupon your way to a good deal!
Well I hope you enjoyed my list of tips! Have some more tips for freebies? I would love to hear them! Comment below!

My freebie collection!

So things got pretty hectic with school this quarter. But now it's over and break has commenced! As a result I now have a lot of time to do all the things I've been wanting to do, including organizing my freebies! Basically, I took a box I had lying around and tore off the top parts to make compartments. I then sorted my products into cosmetics, hair products and masks, and large items. I find this is a great way to make products more accessible so that they actually get used!
Have any ideas on how to organize your samples? Share them in the comments below!

October Barkbox

Heys lovelies! It's been awhile since my last post, I've been throwing myself into school and I've rather accidentally neglected this blog.
Anyways, onto the review!
So my Barkbox for October recently arrived and I was super excited to open it! This is actually my second Barkbox so far (the review for the last one kind of got lost in the endless void). But for those of you who are unfamiliar with Barkbox, it is a monthly subscription service that delivers 4-6 goodies for your pup right to your door! Items can include snacks, toys, and grooming items and vary month to month. When signing up for Barkbox, they offer you three different sizes to fit your dog: small & cute; just right; and big and bold. Then you choose what type of monthly plan you would like: 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year. You pay for all your boxes upfront. What I really love about this company though is that 10% of every box goes towards sponsoring animal shelters and helping them save lives and find furever homes for animals in need.

My puppy Cocoa is the "just right" size with Barkbox and his treats come in this cute box all packaged up like this!
This month Just Right dogs received

  • Fresh Pet Breath Gel
  • MumungaStache- a mustache shaped rubber ball
  • hand crafted felt snake toy
  • Discount RX card for dog prescriptions
  • Turkey and liver treats
  • A roll of colorful doggy poop bags

Honestly, I was a little disappointed in the inclusion of the fresh breath gel since I got the exact same product in my last Barkbox. The felt snake and the mustache ball (that's what I'm going to call it from now on) are very novel but not really sturdy enough to handle my dog's craziness.
The front and back of the mustache ball

I let my dog play with the mustache for literally five minutes and this is what happens. The ball gag/pacifier part of the toy is also slightly too big for my 30 pound dog's mouth, so the sides are his most obvious target.

Overall, I'm decently satisfied with my box this month. I was hoping for more sturdy toys for my dog but I find this month's box an improvement over last month's which was mostly food. The issue I have with subscription services putting food in dog box subs is that the food most often makes my dog sick since it is different than his regular diet. I have one more month of Barkbox left and I'm looking forward to it!

Coach Outlet Haul

So I recently ventured out to the Desert Premium Outlets by Morongo and brought back with me this haul of amazing Coach bags! I have to preface this by saying that Coach is one of my favorite brands of designer handbags. I feel like the pricepoint is great for the quality of the bags! Apparently, other people agree with me because it seems like the Coach outlets are always filled with people!
This haul isn't a ginormous haul like my Little Black Bag hauls but I'm just as happy with the outcome. Though I do have to say that the man at the next register over had a HUGE amount of bags. I think he had about twenty bags (not even exaggerating), but I really can't blame him since everything in the store was an additional thirty percent off!
Onwards to bags!
A roomy shoulder bag and two wristlets
The inside of the shoulder bag showing the optional cross body strap. I especially love the texture of the strap. It's very soft but seems very durable.

AAANNNDDD My pride and joy! I saw this bag and I had to have it!
There are a ton of pretty details to this bag like this embroidered starfish on the back and silver sequins sown all over!
At 40% off plus an additional 30% off this bag was a steal!
So what did you think of my latest haul? Do you love Coach or not? Comment below!
Have a lovely day!!!

September Little Black Bag Part 2

This is part two of my September Little Black Bag Haul! Part 2 covers the small acessories and samples I received in my Little Black Bag for this month. To see the handbags and clutches check out part 1 here.

So here is the Present Time Flower Wall Clock. Currently it's hanging up on the wall in my room. It's very pretty and the quality seems pretty good so far. It operates on a single AA battery.

I've been really excited to receive this BCBGeneration Ring Watch! The concept of a ring as a watch really amused me and I've been wanting one since they were released in August. For a good amount of my bag I actually had the black one but at the last minute I switched for silver.
The ring as with the other BCBG watch products comes in this adorable case on its own little pillow.

Here's a picture of me wearing it. It's super pretty!
I have tiny hands by the way, my ring size is a five and a half and I was delighted to find that this ring was small enough to fit me!

Here are the Betsey Johnson Mod Metal Sunglasses. I was aiming to get my hands on the ones with the hearts on the side but sadly my trading time ran out! They seem to be pretty good quality and dark enough to actually protect your eyes. The provided carrying case is one of the nicest carrying cases for glasses I have ever seen! It's stiff enough to protect :)

This Peacock Owl Ring by Carol Dauplaise came into the gallery my last day of trading and I knew I had to have it! It has super cute details and the peacock feather seems to be real--I thought it would just be a peacock feather print. Sadly, this ring is just a little too big for my hands. It would probably fit a size seven or higher comfortably.

Another item I was extremely excited for were these Disney Couture Tinkerbell Hoop Earrings. I have heard other LBBers rave about the quality of Disney Couture products and I knew I had to try it for myself since I love Disney. Oddly enough I'm not a big fan of Tinkerbell, I think she's horrible ( she tried to KILL Wendy!). Anyways the little details on these earrings are amazing! However, I'm not really happy with them because the clasps on the earrings come loose easily so it's easy for the earring to drop off. The way they are designed it's also kind of hard to put the earrings on.

Finally, there are these Benefit San Francisco samples I received. I love Benefit, I've been using their products for years and I love the quality! When I heard that Little Black Bag was putting samples in bags that opened in September I was both super excited and kind of sad. Because I opened my bag in August I thought I wouldn't be able to get a sample. But I contacted customer service and they put a sample in my bag since this bag is technically my September bag! I love Little Black Bag's customer service! They are really nice and helpful! I got samples of Stay Don't Stray Eyelid Primer, the Porefessional primer and "that gal" face primer. As you can tell I love primers! I tried the Porefessional today and I'm pretty impressed, the texture felt great on my skin and gave me a very even look. I only wish the samples were bigger!

So that's it for my September Little Black Bag. It was a super stressful haul for me, I traded like a crazy lady for seven days straight! Thank you so much for reading my blog! Happy shopping!!!
